About MERA

MERA's Mandate is:

To encourage, develop and organize arts, cultural and recreational activities for people of all ages to enhance the well-being, health and connectivity of the community. 

As a community arts centre, MERA primarily serves the areas of Lanark Highlands and North Frontenac, providing an ongoing venue for events in the visual arts, crafts and recreational activities. As well, our musical performances and festivals attract people from Ottawa, Kingston and all points between...

We're committed to...

• Promoting greater access, awareness and understanding of the arts, crafts, music, health, literary, and promoting programming for children in this rural, friendly and informal environment.
• Providing a learning facility for to learn and practice skills in the fields of weaving and pottery, textile arts, arts in general, physical fitness, and to hold miscellaneous workshops on a variety of topics.
• Facilitating entertainment programs to gather the community together for social events.
