Location / Map

McDonalds Corners is about 15 km west of Lanark Village on County Road 12, and 25 km northwest of the town of Perth. It is one hour's drive (100km) west of Ottawa.

When approaching from the east (Lanark/Perth/Ottawa), take the first left after entering McDonalds Corners, which is marked as Dalhousie Conc 9 A. This road only goes this way and is not a crossroads.
The Schoolhouse is the white building on the left. If you pass the fire station and general stores, you've missed the turn.

Approaching from the west, (Sharbot Lake/Ompah/Toronto), you will pass the general store in downtown McDonalds Corners and make the next right turn past the fire station. The Schoolhouse is immediately on your left.

The Schoolhouse is not the building just south of the general store, where the fall fair and various other functions are held. That's the Agricultural Hall, which is owned and operated by the McDonalds Corners Agricultural Society, another fine community organization.

The former schoolroom part of The Schoolhouse was known as the Recreation Hall (Rec Hall) for many years. We have changed the name to emphasize its historical and cultural significance, and to avoid confusion with the Ag Hall.
